 Apple launches iPod touch,nano updates

iPhones and iPads may get the attention these days, but Apple isn't ready to abandon its iconic music players just yet. The company announced two new iPods at its Wednesday media event—updated versions of the iPod touch and the iPod nano.

iPod touch

The new 5 GEN (fifth generation)iPod touch is thinner than its predecessor (6.1mm) last one was(7.2mm) and much  lighter (88.0 grams) against the last one (101.1 grams).The itouch’s  comes in many  colors (silver ,red , blue ,Black , yellow). There’s a new iPod touch addon in it! ,you can now  attach a wrist strap on the itouch 5GEN! The new touch’s screen is not only bigger,, 4 inches screen instead of  3.5 before,but it also  has a sharper Retina display. (Last one is less sharper but Aslo RETINA display) .It has the same screen as on the iPhone 5.So screenwise, The ipod touch 5gen is the same as the iphone 5

Performance wise,  the 5-GEN itouch has a dual-core A5 processor that  is   twice as powerful as the previous model’s CPU (2X). Theres' also addition to graphics...They are much better and enchanced!

The new touch has a much improved camera(FRONT AND REAR). It has a 5-megapixel sensor and has 1080p HD video recording. It has autofocus and LED flash.Now that's a big Change! 
 Apple inc. claims that the camera is much improved. Like the iPhone 5, lens cover , panorama feature, , is also  added in the ipod touch 5GEN camera!

Apple said that the new itouch battery will last for 40+ hours of music playback & upto to 8 hours of video playback,,,,,,not much difference from the previous gen(4th gen)or no difference!.  The wireless functions improved too,as with support for Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band 802.11n networking. Like the iPhone 5, the itouch 5GEN comes with the whole new connector, as well as the new Apple EarPods!! (THATS LIKE IT!).

 The new touch will run iOS 6, so we'll get Facebook integration, twitter integration ect!! And the touch now supports Siri!!!!

iPod nano

The new nano is A blast !!! So much improved but one would buy an itouch because  the price differences aren't  much!

That display is a 2.5-inch, the largest display ever of a nano, it supports widescreen video. It adds many navigational buttons: There is a home button now for getting back to home screen! And it has volume control buttons and buttons like play pause etc!

Like the itouch 5gen , the new nano is thinner than its predecessor (5.4mm vs 8.78 mm). It also comes in a range of colors

Apple claims battery life is better on the nano, than the previous!Up to 30 hours of music playback!! And the nano also now supports Bluetooth! for wireless audio!

Pricing and availability

Apple will start taking pre-orders for the new iPod touch at the Apple Store (www.apple.com) Starting on mid September 20012; the touch will start shipping in October. The 32GB model will have a suggested price of $299, the 64GB model will run $399(bit of expensive in Pakistani rupees)

The previous 4GEN  iPod touch will still be available, as well, for $199 (16GB) and $249 (32GB). Owners of the fourth-generation touch will be able to install iOS 6 when its released on Sept. 19, though they may not be able to take advantage of all of its features.

The iPod nano will also be available in October, with suggested pricing of $149 for a 16GB model.(bit an expensive oNe!)

SUMMARY:

At the end, I would like to say that Apple has taken a good step to improve the iPod touch which is not only a music player and an entertainer but a complete package of what you get in  an iPhone  and its iPod nano which may be only a music player but never the less, as its the best music player , we have ever seen!!!

The all new iPhone 5 has been announced on 12th   of the  September 2012 & will start shipping from 21st of the same month! (may be late) but some may be thinking whether it's worth in line for hours for the new Apple smartphone. The recently announced iPhone 5 has new dimensions!!! (NOT  much SLIMMER THOUGH) Larger display then before, faster , and is definitely an upgrade for the 4S. Apple is tryingmake themselves have the lead in the smartphone market, which they lost to Samsung this year earlier. On Wednesday Sept. 12, Apple presented the iPhone 5 in San -Francisco California! . It differs from the  previous iPhone 4S mainly due to a larger screen, a thinner casing (doesn't look much slim though) and the faster technology. It has improved features on the camera and the all new 8pin connector for USB and Charge (New).

"It is the thinnest and lightest iPhone we've ever made," said Apple marketing vice president Philip Schiller

The iPhone 5 will be on the market for sale , but for the next model, everyone expects something really new. The competition in the smartphone market is increasing!DAY BY DAY! even Qmobile (a Pakistan company) has launced smartphones!. Samsung has manysmartphone models and are the market leader. But rivals such as Nokia, Motorola ,HTC are also throwing competitions with their new models.

Tim Cook, Apple's CEO after steve Jobs,didnt do much as expected on the iPhone 5. Despite less new things.And the fact that many users expected much  by the keynote presented by him , it is no doubt that the new smartphone from Apple , the Iphone 5 will be much enviable then the 4s!

So should you buy the iPhone 5 or not?

If you already have the iPhone 4S, a Samsung Galaxy SII or SIII, or another smartphone with an 8 MP cam, the iPhone 5 will not  have a big change on your life. The sensor of the camera of the iPhone 5 has not changed , it remains at 8 megapixels and has not gone up to 12 as we might have thought before the keynote.The camera of the NOKIA Lumia 920, as an example, has set the crossing line  with a high quality sensor and advanced image stabilizer.The iphone camera is just a crap! However, Apple said that its  faster with the new processor and highlighted the possibility of making beautiful panoramic photos. The Galaxy S3 already does the same thing, and and most of the features new to the iphone,are already present on the latter!

You use it mainly for music and videos

Apple said that the iPhone 5 battery easily handles 10-11 HRS VIDEO & 38-41 HRS of music playback. You might remember that the iPhone 4S also was said to be the one which can handle  40 hrs of music and 10 hrs of video playback!.So there is really nothing new in that sense .
 One thing to be noted that the web browsing is somewhat improved as said by apple with up to 8 hours in 3G ! The 4s gave 6HRS !
 As for surfing on Wi-Fi, it does not change much between models (10h/iPhone 5, 9h/iPhone 4S).The 3G factor differs only!

You use it mostly for apps and social networks

Apple said that its new A6 chip is twice fast (2X) of the A5. Apple said that the tasks will be handled with ease and will be handled quickly and the iPhone 5 will bring muchsmoothness. But if you just want to post a picture or a new status on Facebook, Do u need to change a smartphone? You don't need to because it has facebook integration!!!!!!! the best part It has ! but that comes with the iOS!

You use it mainly for video games

In contrast, the iPhone 5 could prove very interesting for the gamers(yes it does). First, because the screen is a little taller(4.0 inch diagonal) , which brings easiness and comfort in the visual factor .

The new speedy super duper  A6 chip doesn't only provide the fastest gaming experience  for a gamer but  also facilitates with high quality graphics .So WRT gaming,, its a better choice!

You mainly use your phone to call your partner

 So ure the person who find apps and games not necessary and unimportann and you just make calls with your phone, I recommend,don't spend a lot of money in the All expensive Iphone 5!

What about the i OS 6?

With the all new i OS 6, iPhone 5 may perform better but the thing is that there are not much changes in the  i OS 6 as the main change is the maps by apple instead of Google.

Summary:

At the end, iPhone 5 is a good choice but to be honest, the expectation were high for a big change in the iphone 5 but unfortunately, Apple didnt realize this!!!! There is nothing that proves that this is the new generation of iPhone(5 gen)!

Facebook 5.0 for iOS!

         Facebook for iOS gets a 5.0 update

Facebook has answered questions and complains of millions of users with the release of a new application for iOS. The social network has finally dine something new ti the fb APP!

Today,the Facebook ios 5.0 App for ios was dropped (released) on iTunes! The application looks mainly same, but it’s now twice as fast (2X)in three parts or categories! ie...launching the app, scrolling through the News Feed, and opening photos!

“As you scroll down your news feed, all your friends’ stories appear faster than ever. A banner lets you know when new stories come in, and you can tap once to immediately see the latest updates,” iOS product manager Mick Johnson said !!!

Users can now open a photo by TAPPING it right away!and pull down to close the photo just as quickly. Notifications should now also load more fast!(very fast indeed).The Rough experience for the Opening of the Photos transformed from slow to somewhat fast!.

Hence !!!!!now the Facebook on iOS devices won’t be a Patience test !!!!as u had to wait sooooo much!. Is that proof , the social network "Facebook" will have a far better opportunity to improve its mobile service!

I have used this App personally and its fast but the bug problems irritate the users so FACEBOOK should do something for that!

  Sony Xperia P gets Android 4.0 ice cream sandwich update in India!!!

Sony Mobiles Technology has Launched ICS 4.0(android Icecream sandwich) update  for the  SONY xperia P in India(all indian provinces).The step has been taken with corporation of IT departments of the country!  
The Xperia P gets all the new features with the Ice Cream Sandwich update(4.0 update). Google added in ICS as an Addition ,  Sony  updated its software's functionality with an new and improved music player app and the lockscreen!

As always, the update is not an automatic , but has to be done manually. The smartphone can be updated via the PC Either by  Microsoft Windows  or on a Mac.

Sony mobile has said  the XperiaU, Sola, and other midrange sony smartphones  next up for an ICS update(sounds interesting)!

So keep waiting for the ICS on ur sony mobile !And If ure phone is unlucky to not get a compatible update,,, Just do it by rooting!but be careful !!!!! The warranty is void then!!!

The only Aspect I think  that iOS 6 has become evident is Apple has stopped taking services from Google! Google had said to make the all  new YouTube app that will be soon available!
It's very early to tell if Google will be the default service in iOS , but that may be a possibility  seeing the growing rivalary between  Google and Apple  , which also makes the rival Android mobile operating system.
