The Xbox 360 is the second video game console developed by and produced for Microsoft and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 is a competitor of Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. As of September 30, 2012, 70 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold worldwide.That really really is a big amount. The Xbox 360 was officially released on on November 2005 .The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan. With its powerfull processor, its gaming features, its certainly the highest rated gaming consoles of all time

Several major features of the Xbox 360 are : Xbox Live service that allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies and its Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities.. And According to me ,,, Xbox live is the best platform for online entertainment!
At their presentation on June , 2010, Microsoft announced a redesigned Xbox 360 that shipped on the same day. The redesigned console is slimmer than the previous Xbox 360 model and features integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, optical audio output, five USB 2.0 ports (compared to the three from older versions) and a special AUX port. Older models of the Xbox 360 have since been discontinued. The first new console of slim version released features a 250 GB hard drive, while a later, less expensive, features 4 GB internal storage(My owned one).As an Owner of the Xbox 360 Slim 4GB model, I shall talk with the reference of the 4GB model!
With the announcement of the Xbox 360 Slim version on 2005 november, Microsoft has said : "We believe that the console is only mid-way through its life-cycle and will continue through 2015".
Lets have a look at its impotant info important for a reader to continue with the blog!
As I
live in Islamabad,Pakistan, So I cant get all of the Xbox live features as they
are region specific.
So what
is an Xbox ??? Where did the 360 version come from? What features it has?? What
are the specs??? I gave answers to these
questions in the paragraph above including the table. The table tells it all!

the Family of the XBOX which is the predeccessor of Xbox 360
Generation : It is a seventh GEN gaming console . The 7th gen consoles

So what do You want more from a gaming console!!! A
3.2 GHZ Xenon processor!!! Surely if you
don’t want to play games on ure Gaming pc,, this machine is a dream Gaming
PC,,,,,,,, The xbox 360 delivers more than a DREAM MACHINE PC which u bought
for 1.5 lakhs only for gaming! I bet bcz ive tried that!

Memory
Memory depends on the version of your Xbox! Is it 4GB,
250 GB , 120 GB (THE ELITE MODEL) or you add more memory by External HDD! I
have the 4GB model so I tell ya that that don’t waste money on the 250 GB
Versions! You don’t need to Install games on your Xbox…. Just play from A cd!!!
But if You want to play in HD Mode by installing HD PACK of Graphics, you need and HDD! (remember,, 4GB is
internal memory,, 250 GB is not the internal memory of 250 GB xbox,, it’s a 4gb
model with 250GB HDD)
GRAPHICS
500 MHz ATI Xenos:::: that’s the
Graphics card of the Xbox 360! The Xenos
is a custom graphics processing unit (GPU) designed by AMD (former ATI), used in
the Xbox 360 video game console. Developed under the codename "C1”, it is in
many ways related to the R520 architecture
and therefore very similar to an ATI Radeon X1800 series of PC graphics cards
as far as features and performance are concerned. However, the Xenos introduced
new design ideas that were later adopted in the R600 series, such
as the unified shader architecture. The package contains two separate silicon
dies, the GPU and an eDRAM, featuring a
total of 337 million transistors.( don’t know the exact But its b/w 330/340)

I have the slim model So Ill talk about the slim one’s connectivity!

The model other than the slim has 2 USB ports and no B/g/n wireless!

Well, living in Pakistan is
not suitable for Xbox live as Modchips are used and thus when u login to XBOX
live ,, ure XBOX gets banned!But Xbox live is considered as the most valuable
features of XBOX 360 by microsoft! You can Play multiplayer versionsm online of
the games LIKE Battlefield 3 and many others! You can Download free demos !!!
and many other advantages of Xbox live!
(SOFTWARE)
The Xbox 360 original GUI is the Xbox 360 Dashboard.The Dashboard can be launched automatically when the tray was ejected or the console started without disc , , but the user had option to select what the console to do if a CD was inside the tray!
The Dashboard's simplified version is also accessible any timethrough Xbox guide Button on Game_PAD! This simplified version showed the user's gamercard , friend list & XBOX LIVE MESSAGES!. .
On the Occasion of Mid month of november , 2008,(IF IM NOT WRONG)The dashboard was changed from BLADE interface to a dashboard on the WMC(WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER) &ZUNE, known as the "new _xbox_experience" or "NXE"
Since XBOX 360 has been launched, There are several updates available for the software!. These updates have Include many a new features , Maximizing Ultimately the Xbox Live function principals capabilities of MEDIA PLAYBACK , + the addition of compatibility for new accessories, and Fixed some bugs in the software. Such updates are Very Necessary and Important for users wishing to use Xbox Live, as access to Xbox Live is Not available or Disabled until the update is carried out!(I have the 15574 version of the dashboard!)
The latest Update is 2.0.16197.0 released on 16th october 2012!
